California - Northern

Here is Laurens email. [email protected] I think the collars are 7 plus shipping. She got a little overwhelmed with orders so it might not be immediate, but she might be caught up now.

I'm thinking of seeing if she will wholesale them so I can have them for people around here who get attached to their roosters.

Ron, they even eat them at night when it is the only food option. They just love crumbles. But out in they yard everyone shares feed buckets and they go to the turkeys bucket. I know ducks can have too much protein so I worry a little . I know thats why No 1 got angel wing :(. But they eat grass all day long and mint, and a variety of plants, so I think they should be ok. I just want to make sure they get enough niacin. But its bloody annoying to pay TWICE as much for something they generally dislike!

We are going away OVERNIGHT this weekend! Im very excited. I have worked it out so everyone should be safe. The only problem could be the breese, whose coop is covered by netting, not wire. Nothing has ever tried to get in there with them, however. Im trying to decide if I should leave the lights on or off in the main coop. It does have a big window so they would get some light, but not a ton. I imagine that would make them less active while I am away, but i worry its not enough light for them to be happy. I could leave the light on 24/7 but then they will be hyper chickens and have more time to knock over waterers, etc. They would have light from around 9 to 4:30 naturally. Is that enough to eat drink and be merry?
They should be fine without the light--Light draws predators. Even if they knock the waters over they will be ok for two days.

Have fun!

Can you set up a timer?

newp, its a normal light not plugged in.

I have NO idea what that means, but I'll take your word for it.

Hello!
Non GMO feed is a mix. Kings did some research on a price point and does it as organic as they can in that range. But they use non GMO products always.
Crissy I get my food by the barell from a guy out your way ( a bit closer to Sacramento) from a guy who buys it from a mill. Its 20% organic. I'm very lucky he sells it!

I have 1 more silkie who has gone broody. I finally look to have gotten them to sit on their own eggs . they were all fighting over nests before. I think Crissy called me up about breese. Those eggs are under my new hat trick ssilki last night.

Capa great story! I was wondering about a pig eating all the chickens and not leaving feathers etc. Alpine welcome back! I actually found pulletceggs to be fertile and hatch well just smaller chicks. Beautiful AM's.

Ron I'm hoping to have beib chicks sometime this winter . I need big fat birds!
Yes that was me :) I wanted to give my broody some good chicks, and I am super excited!! Thank you so much chiqita :) My husband was laughing that I was telling him about these birds. He doesn't know it will mean more coop building, haha! I just emailed you before I saw this, wondering if they took them. You helped me out so much. After I get this wedding cake done, I'll be free and clear to come get them when they hatch.
How much are the bags and barrels of these feeds? I get mine from Modesto miling @ $25/bag . It's (50 lbs)organic, but I try to make a multi errand trip out of it.

So does anyone have 6 fertile LF eggs they are willing to sell? I think I want to give Mama Chicken some eggs to hat
LF, as in large fowl, right? just want to be sure. I'm in Tracy and have Blue Copper Marans and the same roo over Lavender AM. They are pullet eggs. Was going to use them myself, but getting some from chiqita instead

. I have him in with 11 hens, so not sure the fertility though. I think he's covering everyone good :)

I have 8 golden cuckoo Marans eggs I have saved up to incubate, but I can always save more if you want them. Mine are pullet eggs and I have not checked them for fertility by incubating, but I have seen fertile spots in them when using them for cooking.

chrissyr is so much closer than I am though, and her birds sound real pretty!
