California - Northern

We got around 3 inches of snow. The older chickens thought the sky had fallen, but are now getting used to it, LOL. The juveniles ( like my kids) are out running around in the snow with out a care. You can just see a few of them in this pic.

so delightful! no snow here, only rain (much needed, so glad for that) -- now cold and windy.

we had about 11" in the chicken area and 8" by the house do to the wind last night and the light fluffy snow

as you can see my waterer was completely buried by snow. even my brooder and turbo Regal faired little better in my protected carport.
the shade cloth held by my surprise.

its still snowing even.
today was my daughters birthday party. i guess not

Started snowing here last night at six PM, at first those small flakes that almost puff into air instead of touch things, then more and more, larger and fluffier snowflakes. I was at The Pub - sold a dozen chicken eggs to a regular customer, two duck eggs to a server, and six duck eggs to the chef (both for personal use, not to serve to customers). Once there was enough snow "sticking" to the outside table tops, I wrote in the snow on one table, then decided it would be a good idea to get home before the snow started to stick and accumulate on the roads.

It's so pretty this morning! I am guesstimating three inches of snowfall during the night. One of the neighbors -in his Jeep - has already besmirched the road out front with tire tracks.

Mario is still asleep. I told him the time and he sort of woke up and chatted a little.

He then said " I'm cleaning the fridge in my dream. Let me finish before I wake up I'm almost done"
