What is your objective in crossing the two breeds @juststruttin ?I finally put my Freedom Rangers in with my Sulmtalers. It will be interesting to see what this cross produces.
They are laying well so far, but they have just started. My mixed breeds lay very well.Thank you Happy Chooks. Those are really nice birds! How well are they laying? I know the mother you said was a great layer but I'm not familiar with barnvelders egg laying. My Marans are pretty, but not great layers. I'm hoping it'll get better with more daylight hours, but they just started laying in Sept. So I like pretty AND productive![]()
