I love those! But I have Lemon Cuckoos. I would have to build another pen and get hens too

Haha me freaking out made those emails reappear. Heard from him this morning. Now to figure out what to do.

Thank you Happy Chooks. Those are really nice birds! How well are they laying? I know the mother you said was a great layer but I'm not familiar with barnvelders egg laying. My Marans are pretty, but not great layers. I'm hoping it'll get better with more daylight hours, but they just started laying in Sept. So I like pretty AND productive

They are laying well so far, but they have just started. My mixed breeds lay very well.

I hear they are more quiet than Pekins. But all I have are pekins. Love my pretty babies. I have another female too.

Muscovy's usually don't make any noise. Hissing on occasion, but that is about it. If a Muscovy quacks it is very young or has something else in it.

Howdy all. I am a newbie here and I have lots to learn. My wife of 45 yrs and I live in the Real Nor Cal. A small town called Happy Camp on the Klamath River. Nearest traffic light is over an hours drive. SF is a 6 hr drive SOUTH. We retired here in 01 and are now ready to settle in and have some chickens. I have no questions now but will be reading up on all the info here and surely have plenty of questions later. Have a great day all.
