and actually, i just had a closer look, and two of the blue isbar/SFH crosses have pipped too. so just waiting for the CLs! (they were shipped, so less likely to do well, but hope at least a few hatch?)

Gorgeous roo! Thanks for sharing.

Our duckling :)

(Munch-kin)

All these duckling are perfectly adorable
He is gorgeous!

@Audio51 and @TheKeeper Thanks He is pretty but I have to say that I looked at some pics of really good quality NH roos and he is a weak shadow. His neck and back are too long his tail is too low his breast is not full enough and neither is he leg but like I said he has great rooster qualities.

@lawatt how exciting hope your hatch rate this go round is great!

We go back and forth about it. Housing is so much more expensive there and do we want to at our age start all over again with a 30 year mortgage. What part of SC do you live in?
I live in what is considered the "banana belt". It's in mid-town near Morrissey Ave.

Okay updatr on cackle: 1) got a $35 credit from them, 2)ordered 25 more chicks that will be here the 21st of this month, my question is though can the new chicks be put in with the chicks we have now?
Tge birds we are getting are mille fleur OEGB,golden laced and blue cochin bantams, black silkies and dominique bantams. so hopefully they will do better

The two groups will be a bit old for combining but you may be able to combine them after the young ones are a week old or so.

They should do better--hopefully they will not get stuck in Reno again.

Well ive only got one brooder and one heat light (and no money for another heat light) so is there a way i can have both groups in the brooder without the older ones hurting. the younget ones?

Make a divider. The older ones will not need as much heat as the new ones.

Sounds like a fun challenge!

Nikki just make a divider until the new arrivals grow a little then they should be fine together. the only thing that tends to happen with new babes are trampling. I have mixed ages fine and they do great but the big ones don't watch where they step.
