do you have a rite aid around? they should have Poly-vi-sol without iron. it is in the baby section Tractor supply has Nutri Drench though chicks seem to take the Poly-vi-sol around here better. I add Nutri Drench to there water the first few days
No wonder the feed store didn't have Poly vi sol! You should have seen the confused looks when I marched in and asked for it like they were really lacking for not carrying it. No one even knew what I was talking about
I bought some new Vetwrap ans was able to "hobble" it (that's an understatement. There is the poor thing. She seems pretty comfortable, so I will leave her in this over night at least. I hobbled forst, but then both legs stuck out behind. So I moved both legs into the right posotions and then made a harness of sorts to keep the lgs in a normally bent position. The I put a belt aroung the cup to keep her from popping up and out and undoing the whole thing. I gave her the Nutridrench on a toothpick and then followed it up with a few drops of water. I set the little cup under the front edge of the brooder plate so she can stay warm enough without overheating. She is sooo tiny it is hard to handle her to get her treated. I sure hope this works!
So my chicken numbers have gotten out of control lol there wasn't very much demand for the Serama chicks I hatched so I decided to give them away......15 2 1/2 month old chicks gone. Whew. I've sold almost all of my layer flock too, down to 4 LF and 11 Seramas. (not counting the 7 chicks and 2 older chicks in the garage not sure what I'm going to do with them) but it was a relief to be able to do chicken chores in 5 minutes. My coop is so empty!!

That's just too cute and very clever!
P**ssed off broody hen. One more egg pipped. I now at least one of the other 2 eggs probably will not hatch (looked like a qutter but I put it under her anyway). Not sure on the 5th egg...
