I way prefer the B/W. I find the color out the door distracting and it makes your eye stop short. The B/W doesn't have that problem and allows your eye to lead further into the photo (I do a bit of competitive photography as well). With the B/W, I find myself looking all the way to the furthest wall.

Thanks. The mom picked color, but my fav is the bw. But since I am submitting it elsewhere - I thought public opinion would be nice to know. :D

I like them both. Here's my thoughts:

The B/W, my eye focuses on the girl. With the color, I my eye goes to the back wall. (and notice the wall color) So it depends on what you want me to see.

Hi All!

Here is a picture of my lone EO Basque chick that hatched from a test hatch for a BYC member in Texas. These were little bitty pullet eggs:

He is an only child until next Tuesday when the Trader Joes eggs hatch. Three of those had little wigglers in the eggs on Saturday.

Ooooh you get Leghorns! We decided to add hatchery Leghorns next year. My kids actually asked for white chickens?? LOL That teeny chick is adorable!

Thank you for the link! I will post a couple of smileys for them.

When my Roos did that, I picked them up and held them until they calmed down. I then put them into a dog kennel for the day as a time out and brain reset strategy.

They all started acting better fairly quickly. Also, the roos sometimes go through a crazy teenager type of stage when the hormones are rushing high for them. Luckily with roos that stage only lasts several months instead years with our human children.

I hope he calms down for you!

Thank you!

He has been the most dominant (he's been crowing before he even reached 2 months old!) he also has a bigger comb and wattles than his brother.

Non chicken picture alert- care to weigh in? I was asked to submit a couple images to a photography mag. I am unable which I like the best...I am a BW girl at heart and love that about half of my pro work is BW but the color is sweet too...thanks for your help! Two different 'poses' but one is bw and one is color. I would love to see which you all prefer. <3 (i clicked on them and they look sorta funky on here. just ignore that.)

I love them both but my vote Black and White... :)
