Thank you for your kind,words. We were at Disney the day after that horrible heat and it was horrendous. I thought I was going to be sick it was so hot. I am running I to so many people around my area that lost birds that day. Free range to cooped. I’m doing my research and will be better informed this time.

Sorry for the double post, but I just wanted to let everyone know that I created a list of CA breeders and hatcheries, for all of CA. Great start to hatcheries. I’ll have to call and see if any of these allow you to pick up or if it’s only mai order.
Lompoc is in central California though.

Thanks! No, Lompoc is in Santa Barbara County, which is where I used to live. It's still considered Southern CA.

I personally consider Bakersfield to be the start of Central CA. But yeah....Lompoc is close, that's for sure. I'd love you guys to help me add to the list if you have any imput.

I’m going to start checking around in a week or two. I need to get my chicks soon since I will be raising them inside forma couple of months. If that weren’t the case, I’d wait for the LA county fair to come around and ask if anyone has a list! But when I find some, I’ll let you know. Our chicks that passed and the two remaining were purchased from San Dimas Feed and Grain.
