CALIFORNIA The Whole State thread

Hi, I finally joined and am looking forward to the meet up in Valley Center....We raise d'Uccles- mille, white and porcelain. Have two golden necked hens that could use a roo and a black/brown roo that could use hens. Right now they are together and I am really curious about what the babies would look like. Maybe I'll hatch a couple for the Easter hatch-a-long !
We also raise Polish crested standard size, and Sebrights. Those chickens all belong to my kids...They are looking for more porcelain hens.....
I raise silkies. Anybody need an extra rooster? Thought I'd ask!
Looking forward to participating instead of just lurking, although time inside at the computer is limited.

Welcome. I rarely am on this thread. I am always on Northern California tread. Turlock, where I live, might be more South than that but I find more semi local people there.
I have someone looking for Sikies & I was just getting ready to post that on the Northern board.

I spend most of my time on the N CA thread, also! It is a fast moving thread where you can find answers to all of your questions!

I wish I could take that roo off your hands but I'm in Reedley.

I actually have several extra silkie roos. Buff, black, Columbian, partridge color....
I will be driving to Sebastopol in May. If anybody between San Diego and there is interested in a rooster!

Welcome to BYC and the thread. Don't worry about where to post, just post all over. LOL I lurked for over 2 years before I joined. I thought I'd get to hooked if I posted along with reading. I was right! LOL Had a lot going on lately, so I haven't been able to come in much. I really don't post or read much on the other CA threads. There are so many, I couldn't keep up and since most people I know don't live in my area, I needed a one stop thread.

Nice to have another Silkie breeder. Lots of people are looking for them.
