I hope so. The barn is full of pack rats, and my older cat is a house cat who’s too lazy to do anything about it.

luckily we have pest control- more insects at this point, we never really had a huge mouse issue, but the previous owners must have had some issues (and terrible barn cats) because there are (un-set) mouse traps all around the hay room, tack room, and barn. They also put cat doors in the walls so the cats could get to separate rooms of the barn. Shadow just climbs the over from the rafters, she says it’s much more fun and you get more cobwebs that way

So mine isn't a barn cat but he is a decidedly outdoor one. Rabbits 2x his size check nothing as fun as dragging a maggot infested corpse out to the back fence. 1.5 pound rats check. If those rats bite him they just make it worse for themselves. I think he only comes inside for us to open up a can.

Haha! I love it, sounds like some cat I know I have an intense fear of insect larvae so luckily I find the bodies before they’re half decomposed lol
