I candled again (10 day) and still have 12 good Ameraucanas. Plus some SLW.

Everyone is due to hatch the 22nd, can't wait!!!

Update another one hatched I think I now have 30 but there hard to count in the brooder. They are fun to watch look like puff balls running all around in there. They run to get water than run to eat. Than take a nap. But it seems they all have different schedule so theres always back & forth movement.

I candled for the last time today, it is now Day 16. I'm confident that the 7 I have left are at the point that they should be developmentally. At least from what I can see. Which isn't much but the air cell. These eggs have been hard to see into from the very beginning! I took 2 eggs out, one never developed and one was an early quitter. I have to admit, it made me gag to see that!

But moving forward, I'm looking forward to a successful hatch this weekend. Lockdown starts on Tuesday!

Glad yal are getting babies hatched.
My February babies are growing and doing great. This weekend they were moved from the house to the smaller hutch brooder in the shop. Eventually they will get moved to the really big Brooder Hutch where they will have ample room for a while.
The kids are just growing so fast and are so full of energy.

This is the small hutch with them in it (it is a rabbit hutch I got at Petsmart)

This is them inside it. Butters is checking out the frisbee with sand in the little room at the other end.

This batch of chickies are more energetic than the Silkies and Wyandottes where at this age. They are already trying to fly.

Keep posting your pics too. How are your chicks doing that have hatched so far this month?
My Brinsea is lonely at the moment......

BooBear - Cute babies! Do I spy a OE chick in there? I have one and it looks almost the same size as yours. The chick on the right that is looking at the toy...that's a roo for sure. I can pretty much sex mine when they're around 3 wks. Cute chickies!!
