Ohh a Barnie thread, YAY! I can't believe I missed it!
I have 4 hens & 2 roos I got last year from Christine Cole (who is now sadly out of Barnies... for now
)
One egg, from the Johan hen, due to hatch tomorrow
I need to take new pictures; here are some from 12/09

Some of their eggs. I was concerned about the blunted small end but am told it's normal for Barnies
They were going to be second to my Salmon Favs, but are so friendly they have become #1. The roos are quite loud compared to my elder Silkie & Hamburg roos, but they keep much kinder hours.
I'm so excited, I shipped my first eggs yesterday at 1630 (the girls were laying daily until I offered to take some to the Stockton show; it has taken them 3 weeks to lay 6 eggs close enough together to ship out fresh enough to hatch), and they got there at 0700!
Now I pray
that they got there intact!
