I'm not sure what breed they are, but your rooster is a fine looking fellow, isn't he?
I have friends who feed their chickens cold, cooked rice. This is what they feed their newly hatched chicks as well, and it seems to work for them, so that is a possibility.
I just looked up ragi, and it seems to be a kind of millet, so that should be fine too.
oh kiwi!! thanq.. yeah.. both of them cooperate very well with me.. they r gettin along wid me quiet well, thou' i got them only 3 months back... they were fully grown even then.. but, they don't allow me to carry or cuddle them still
i hope their children will let me cuddle them..
yeah.. me too.. i giv them cooked rice almost daily.. thanq..
should i dissolve any vitamins for them in water?? i haven't given them any vitamins for the past 3 months... if i should what vitamins and in what measure should i??
Good things to eat.
Raw green, leafy vegetable is good.
Cooked meat scraps and bones...chickens will pick meat off of bones (good protein)
Most food scraps/left-overs.
As long as they have a healthy diet you don't really have to give them vitamins. Diffrent varieties of fruits and vegtables should keep you covered in the viatmin area. Here is the BYC treat chart it has info on what you can feed your chickens and what vitamins and such they have in them. https://www.backyardchickens.com/web/viewblog.php?id=2593-Treats_Chart
If it's not too much trouble, you might like to post the photos over here as well. That part of the forum is called "What Breed Or Gender is This?", and I'm sure a lot of people reading those pages would love to see your chicken pictures and offer their opinions.
