Can you make a broody hen?

Ok so I bought some new chicks. I have a hen that will sit on her eggs every once in a while. I have made a brooding box. Is there anything else I can do to make my hen broody so she can take care of my chicks so I can add them to my flock easily?

You can't make a hen go broody, unfortunately.

Get some silkies, then you will always have a broody! I have four now...they drive me crazy with it. Haha. You may just have to wait until they are about the same size as the others before mixing them in with your flock. Good luck with your chicks!
