As far as I know, all color genes work the same regardless of breed.

I imagine a lot of work is being done as far as contacting her about the roo.

She seems very nice and I'm sure she would want to know if there was a possibility that her roo is something other than what she was told it was. Many of us take people at their word, and these things DO happen

That's what I was saying, that unless he was frostbit, he looks like a rose comb. Boy was that really bad frostbite, poor boy! Often if a roo has severe frostbite, someone will dub the dead parts of the comb.

I sent an email yesterday to her explaining everything and also sending her a link to this thread so she can read it and get a head up ...it could be she got something SHE did not pay for. That would suck for her and for all those who got chicks from her too. I have not heard anything back yet but we all know how people can get busy. Hope to hear back from her soon tho so I know what I have

Ummmm, since you mentioned Gordie's name, he will NOT sell any chicks to any BYC member. If you can remember the post I mentioned, it will explain there. I know he got some good birds! Its a pity that he wont sell any chicks but if you can catch him on Eggbid, he will have some for sale.

Beautiful chicks you all got there! Missing mine and sitting on my hands! LOL! Hubbys say NO MORE BIRDS! Those darn chicks really put some dust fairy powder on everything in his tool room! LOL!
