Candling duck egg 20

Day 20 of hatching wild mallard egg. Its mostly black inside and harder to see veins. Im worried it may be further along than 20 days. Can anyone tell?
I found it in a unsafe place and brought it in to hatch. So im also unsure how far along it was when i got it.
My temperature also has been higher than planned due to issues regulating incubator.

Side note local farm has duck eggs hatching within days of this one so i will be taking it to a good home with lots of friends!

20ish looks right to me. Right before hatch the air cell will dip to one side, the next day you should see internal pip, day after that external pip, 24-48 hrs later, your babies should appear.

If I had to guess I would say around 16-26 days, but it could easily be 20 too. Maybe try a brighter light??

I don't see an internal pip under candle light but theres an external crack now and lots of movement from the egg. Is he hatching now??

Probably... but keep monitoring it. I think It should hatch within 16 hours
