~*Carolina Chickenstock 2011*~

Look at you Matt, gettin all technical on me!

That's the good thing about it, we have the entire grounds to set up!

The two buildings you see in the center of the picture are the concession stand on the right and the bathrooms on the left. We plan to start setting up in the flat area between and in front of them, line people along the road where the blue line is that runs behind them and then into the big open field to the left of the road/to the right of the barns. Parking..... will be on the right as you come down the blue line just before it makes the left hand curve (kinda behind the concession stand). Did I make any sense??

**My husband is the President of the horse club that owns this facility, hence being able to use it for a non horse event.

There will not be a horse event that day as that would be just tooo much confusion. The facility will be strictly all about poultry that day!

I also need to update my bring/want list.

Bringing to sell:
2 Standard Welsummer/Cochin mix black pullets(14 weeks old) - $20 pair
2 Cream Light Brown Dutch Cockerels from show stock(19 weeks old) - $5 each
3 Bantam Mille Fleur d'Uccle cockerels from show stock(12.5 weeks old) - $5 each
2 Bantam Mixed breed black and white cockerels(14 weeks old) - $5 each

All prices are negotiable, but I need to make up for gas getting there. None of these have been messed with and are WILD. The Dutch boys don't mind being carried around, but I have been putting them in 'time-out' and don't like to be caught.

Wanted:
Mottled Cochins from high end stock. Need to be at least 8 weeks old but prefer less then 6 months. Would like a Trio or Pair.

I have lots of cages, carriers, boxes, and a 3'x4' sectioned travel box that fits in the back of my truck to bring birds. I just don't have much stock to sell.

Cool beans! It looks like those trees will give some shade part of the day but I am planning on bringing my tarp to pull over the top of the truck unless it is too windy. (Really?

So glad there isn't a horse event. We had a Guinea Pig show at the NC Ag center in Arden last weekend and though we were in a building to ourselves, the horse people blocked us in with their huge trailers and we had a hard time getting out for lunch. This is going to be a great set up.

Thank you, HenThymes for your hard work and effort to pull it together.

Jackie and I will be traveling together. DH decided to let us go alone. He is more likely to buy birds than I am. I know the work and cost of caring for them. He just buys anything pretty. Now to deal with Miss Jackie! She will probably be as bad an enabler as I am!

Matt, I wish I could help you but I have everything sold and just waiting for cool weather to ship them all out. You probably need something else besides my bloodlines anyhow.
I would even bring eggs but they aren't laying and I have people waiting on them.

I don't have a wish list but if I see it I will know it and I would buy it.

If I had more carriers and cages I would bring a whole lot more. I have tons to sell, okay not tons, but a lot that I can sell. I will only bring some though. Probably everything will be pairs or trios or single roos. I doubt seriously I would have any single hens or pullets for sale. I have a freezer full of roos and still have many more boys that can go.

Still gotta get that card before the 27th though!

I am going to try and keep my hands in my pockets as much as possible.

I really don't think I have allot left to sell myself
hmm.png
, already gotten rid of most of them
clap.gif
, trying to thin out for just those project birds and upcoming show birds.

I will however have a few baked goods, the chickenstock T-shirts, hutches & cages (in case you find something Amy

) and be in charge of the raffle.

I know of several bringing craft type items, some bringing coop supplies, others with aprons, and maybe some homegrown goodies.

I am looking forward to coming. I am bringing silkie roos. All of the silkies I bought or hatched this spring turned out to be roos
he.gif
so I need to find homes for some of them. Looks like there will be a lot of silkies available. I would love to find a couple of pet quality pullets/hens but I have just about given up on that one.
th.gif
I think I may have to get a couple doz. eggs and hatch them. I might get 2 pullets out of that.

Looks like the upstate is going to be well represented.

I may bring some of my creamed honey to sell.

It will be nice to see you again Mary!

I forgot that I may have some eggs to bring and a few lav split cochin cockerels but that's it in the way of poultry. I am just excited to see who brings what and chit chat with everyone.
