Chat room for non religious poultry keepers! :D

Ow! Brewster didn't mean it, I'm sure! He's a big boy, so that must have hurt.

Freya sometimes steps on my foot, right on the bunion. That REALLY hurts.
Yeah, it was a total accident but OW! Still kills today. Actually, all day it was rubbing up against my shoe, rubbing it raw when I walked despite the sock. 😭 so when I got home I washed it again and then put ointment on it and covered it up really well with gauze and bandages and then put a sock over that so I’m all set now lol

And ow! That sounds painful too!!! I’m sorry. :hugs

I lost track of the thread for a bit there, what happened to your foot Dawg? Hope it heals up fast, but if it's bad then you might not want to walk on it much anyway so that it can heal. Sorry you might have to miss your trip as a result, though! 🙁

Editing, oh wait, is it the scratch from Brew you were talking about? Definitely get that looked at if so, that shouldn't be causing you this much pain :hugs

Yeah it is the scratch but it’s 3 big scrapes/scratches across the whole top of my foot so that’s why. The nurse looked at it yesterday and said it looked okay and not infected but I didn’t tell her how much it was still hurting. I will tomorrow. It’s hurting slightly less today though all of a sudden so that’s good.

Glad it's feeling a little better now, phew! Hopefully you won't have to miss your trip after all, then :fl Definitely still mention something about the pain, though!!
It still kills with shoes on though, is the thing. So I think I might just miss it and rest up. Idk. Haven’t decided yet.

Yeah, I think I'd err on the side of resting your foot and letting it heal, especially if the trip involves a lot of walking. I'm sure there will be other trips or opportunities to visit the same place in the future, too.

I hear you on that being a lot for one weekend! I make one trip out to Columbus, Ohio, once a year for the Ohio National Poultry Show and I feel like I need the whole year just to recover from that! :th I'm definitely a homebody!
