Cheap Hubby Hobbie

Ever heard of Club Pogo? I joined a year ago, It's a game site on the web. My DH used to complain about me playing all evening until I asked him to try the Golf because I couldn't get the hang of it. Next, I asked him to try to get the bowling badge for me. Now he is hooked!!!!!! he even participates in the chat that goes on while you are playing other members!! It's really a great club. It helps me and my mom keep in touch, we talk and play games almost every day. Very cheap hobby, I think a one year menbership is 39.99. Try it-you'll like it.

Unfortunately I have finally admitted to being picky about my house~it's cleanliness that is~ and the fact that certain things can only be cleaned good enough by me.

Girl! He's got you trained!!! You need to let go of some of THAT control and let him do some chores! Maybe he'll appreciate you a little more (NOT in any way implying that he doesn't already!) Ooooo Make it a competition!!! Who can get the house the cleanest!!! And have a non-bias judge and reward for the winner! Worth a shot!

Almost the same thing happened with my hubby - flew it waaaaay to high up into a tree to retrieve it (short of hiring someone to climb it). It remains there to this day, a very sad reminder of a hobby which is no more!

Is he interested in computers? Maybe have him try his hand at web design - might lead to additional income at some point in time and keeps them busy for a loooong time (speaking from experience)

Good luck.

That's me too. Why bother letting him do it when I'm just gonna have to go back and do it right?

It's not great for his health, but just order the military channel and speed channel (if you don't already have them) and then park him in his recliner with a big ol' remote. He'll be out of your hair that way. Either that or get him a tractor with a blade on the front and tell him to go move something.

Trick is, to do something not so good.... and keep doing a shoddy job, and eventually HE will take over - I had to do that............ H now does all the laundry because I didn't FOLD properly!

My grama got tired of my grampa following her around after he retired telling her what she was doing wrong with the housework. Keep in mind she held down the fort, raised the kids and ran a business in the 40's and 50's as a Navy wife while he was out at sea during WWII and Korea.

She finally joined him up at the Elks Lodge to get him out of her hair where he enjoyed himself and eventually became Grand Poobah for at least one term and worked there running stuff.
