so i have chick grit, and i sprinkle it in their food container, how much should i be putting in? also i know that eventually the grit is separate, when do we move to bigger normal grit, and separate grit?

Just a little sprinkle, like putting salt on food for people.

Separate grit: any time after about 1 week of age.

Bigger grit: you can offer a bit as soon as you like, and see if they eat it.
If the grit is too big, they will not eat it. If they do eat it, that proves it is not too big.

They can eat grit pieces at least as large as the pieces of their food.
Sometimes they will eat grit that is larger than their food.
