I have 6 chicks. 3 are approximately 3 weeks old and 3 are approximately 2 weeks old. Atleast one of them has had foul smelling chocolate brown runny poops. Any advice on what could be causing this?

So one was roosting on the side of the brooder and pooped on the floor and this is what it looked like.

What you have pictured is what's called Cecal Poop. It looks perfectly normal and yes, it's a brown stinky foul smelling poop that comes about once out of every 8-10 "normal formed" poops. It can vary in consistency and color, but it's always going to be stinky.

This ☝️☝️☝️ Chickens of all ages produce cecal poops. If these are your first chickens, and you think this is bad, wait till they grow up and give you full sized cecal yucks
