So i have this chick that is about 3 days now, she is struggling to poop and the shrieking makes me feel so bad. She will squat for about 10 seconds shrieking. When i look at her from behind she is always pushing. She barely gets anything out, i helped get 3 little, what looks like undigested chick crumb.
I have tried giving some kefir because i don’t have any yoghurt on hand which i had to force the chick to drink. And I've also used q-tips with warm water that seems to help stimulate pushing but nothing is coming out. I tried soaking the area with cotton balls then drying the chick out and giving Vaseline (4x today).
It is midnight now but i will be able to pick up some molasses if it is in stock or maybe some coconut oil. Im not sure what else to do. Could this be undigested chick crumb and something is wrong with the chick’s digestive system? I have given some vetafarm probiotic their second day. I did notice this chick took slower to drinking and i had to force her a bit but now she drinks a lot.

Pictures, & or video if the chick?

Skip the molasses, just get coconut oil? The coconut oil can be given as chilled chunks.

I will be getting some pictures, the chick does not have pasty butt and it is not stuck to its butt it is stuck inside. How much coconut oil should i be giving?
Are you able to get Save A Chick Probiotics?
Unfortunately they don’t sell save a chick here although we do have a similar product but its not probiotics just vitamins.
Also offer the chick a wet mash for now, instead of solid food?
Okay will do, the chick is still eating and drinking but im not sure if it wants to eat wet mash, should i seperate the chick in a tub beside the others so i can monitor it’s poop?

there is one halfway out which when i try to help she keeps pushing back in, the chick is in a constant pushing position. I do see poop stuck to its butt this morning which means she can still poop but really hard ones. I have given her some coconut oil on the butt and some orally.

A good amount, I can't give a precise measurement on how much coconut oil chunks to give.

Does the product have a probiotics form, or only vitamins?

Separate the chick with 1 eating buddy, get both of them eating the mash, usually it's the most energetic chick of the bunch that is best to use. The eating buddy is encouragement.

its really hard prying open a tiny chicks mouth but i gave about a beak full. is that enough or will i need to give more? I have let the chick sleep alone for a bit and she is enjoying some quiet sleeping time since she is getting pushed around by the others. I will be putting a friend back in.

I'm not sure if it's the same issue/cause, but I had a chick that had this issue because they were actually eating small pieces of pine shavings after they had scratched their food from their feed bowl. It resolved itself once they had been moved off of pine shavings - I didn't figure out the issue until afterward and felt awful 'cause I could never really tell what was wrong other than it would make painful peeping sounds every so often? and it was them trying to poop out pine shavings.

If the chick does not want to eat the chunks of oil on its own, then melt the oil and mix it into the wet feed. Wet feed, plenty of water to drink, and eating coconut oil will make the poop softer and easier to pass.
