Chicken Breeding Projects, For 2020!

I have Dominate white silkies that are split to lavender, have black, smokey grey, & red leakage. I want to breed those colors into my whites, does that sound like a fun idea?
I test bred one of them to a porcelain D'Uccle, & this was the results.

Hmmm 2020 breeding program is mainly focused on my horses, one is due in May and not sure if the other girls have taken yet, not their fault, my stud is an enthusiastic breeder but he has terrible aim.
I’ve had to do things.
Things I never thought I’d do.
But I want those horse babies!

Chicken breeding would be a refreshing, hands-off change. I’ve been wanting for awhile now to breed more for my climate, specifically, I’d love to work towards a strain of chickens, particularly the roosters, which would have little or no comb or wattles. Is that far fetched? Maybe. But I don’t think it’s impossible

Certain GameFowl roosters have that trait you want.

Got my first pullet the day after Christmas and have someone incubating 10 Araucana eggs for me, so we will have to wait and see how many hatch and what they turn out to look like! Love seeing all these other projects. If my Araucana ambitions fail, I’ll be doing Olive Eggers instead.

Same with Sultans, I have them placed on my wish list.

Sultans are beautiful! Campines were on mine! They’re on the critical list (same on Sultans) on the livestock conservancy.

Yes those hens are great, but the roos still have huge furnishings- not good in the cold. Brahmas are definitely one I had thought of starting with, and I am way overdue to renew my whole flock this year

Also easter eggers a lot of them have very minimal comb and wattles.
