Yes those hens are great, but the roos still have huge furnishings- not good in the cold. Brahmas are definitely one I had thought of starting with, and I am way overdue to renew my whole flock this year
True. Maybe try Chanteclaire’s or Russian Orloffs.

Hello all! I’m pretty new to chickens and it’s probably overzealous but I’m going to try breeding Araucanas if I can get proper breeding stock. Got my first pullet the day after Christmas and have someone incubating 10 Araucana eggs for me, so we will have to wait and see how many hatch and what they turn out to look like! Love seeing all these other projects. If my Araucana ambitions fail, I’ll be doing Olive Eggers instead.
Thanks for joining, hope all your work pays off. Araucanas, are a hard breed to find which makes breeding programs a pain.
