SmartyPants, our cuckoo EE leaves blood on her eggs occasionally, from squeezing those giant eggs out her heiny every other day. Agreed on the hemorrhoid cream.

I love fairy eggs! I normally feed them to my cats.

It’s gotta be somewhere in their genetics! Leghorns are so small to be laying such large eggs.

I love fairy eggs! I normally feed them to my cats.

I fried one up out of curiosity. It had two itty, bitty yolks in it. Smallest double yolker I've ever seen.

Red Cuckoo, or Buff cuckoo Cochin maybe the end result if bred until true.

A friend of mine has red LF Cochins i’ve definitely thought about breeding them and making that a variety! They’d be gorgeous.

Yep. I think it was our buff Orpington that laid it, she did start laying again after being broody. I got another 2 weeks later, but didn't get a picture.
