Chicken Breeding Projects, For 2020!

You'll love them very much. My Buff Orpington shown was Drama Queen, she got her name, because she would run, scream, & flap her wings like it was the end of the world if she got spooked.

This is a pullet I hatched from my rooster and I love the way she looks the only problem is she’s so small almost the size of a Silkie..not sure why she’s so tiny but she lives in my layer flock now.

I'll get photos of birds I'm breeding from in the coming year.

I'll probably make a thread too so people's can follow along.

First off will be me finishing off the coop for my 8yo son so he can have his bantam frizzle rooster in with the bantam hens. He wants to start selling fertile eggs and chicks.

Second to do is to hatch some Marans and OE eggs I'll be picking up in a week or two. roosters are Cuckoo Marans from dark eggs, hens are Cuckoo marans, a silver crele Marans and an OE. All chicks from Cuckoo to Cuckoo will go on to make more Marans and the rest will go into my OE project. These are his hens eggs, I'm super excited to get mine


Other than that I haven't really given next year much of a thought. I know I'll be continuing on my OE and EE journey as I'm still only at the start of that, plus my ducks will be old enough to lay. maybe I'll go through my hens and work out a good rooster for them. Now if I can make more of these girls I'll be happy but I have no idea where to start on that lol

She could be a dwarf, dwarfs have shorter legs, & smaller bodies then regular chickens.

You'll figure things out. Sounds like you're going to have fun hatching eggs, & breeding Olive Eggers, & EEs.
