Yea that’s what I was thinking.. you can get those at a regular pharmacy? They’re for people though? What is the best antibiotic for wound infections?
I wouldn’t force the abscess open! You could release the infection and the chicken could go septic.
You don’t need a prescription to get an oral syringe or Jacquard syringe. You should be able to find them at a pharmacy or large grocery store with a pharmacy section. To clean out an abscess you will need a saline solution. You can make that at home (1tsp to cups warm water). We boil our water then mix in the salt, then let it cool for abscess/wound cleaning & netti pots.

Here’s the larger wound. It looks nasty but I don’t think it’s infected, at least it seems to be healing, doesn’t smell, and doesn’t seem to be swollen.
Ouch! You could try Vetercyin (Sorry if I spelled it wrong) it’s what I put on my chickens wounds (I’m not sure if it will work as good on this as I put on small wounds) you can find it on Amazon

Yes I have been using Microcyn which is apparently almost the same as Veterycin but is a newer version?

Would iodine or hydrogen peroxide be good? I just got those from the store..
do you think it needs antibiotics or cleaning out the wound well would clear up the infection?
Clean with a saline solution, Clohexadine, or any wound cleaner. Rinse them out good. After that, apply Neosporin to the punctures in a think layer. Keep then moist. Do the exact same with the big open wound. They should have Neosporin on them so they don't dry out.
