Chicken has open wound, yellow skin!!! *graphic picture* please help

Unfortunately only bad news here. We kept calling vets and finallyfound one that treats birds. Once we got there the Vet said her pelvis was basically shattered. She was barely breathing and in a ton of pain. I think ruptured air sacs too her breathing was struggling. We talked about plans to save her but the odds were so low we put her down to prevent her pain any more. Please pray for my sweet girl I love her so much I love all the chickens we have but Betsy was special. She was always the one to hang out with me follow me around sit on my lap. The Vet doesn’t think it was the dogs though so that’s good. Thank you all everyone here is always so kind and helpful I truly appreciate it.

Sorry, truly I am. You did the kindest most loving thing. Poor sweetie she just didn’t stand a chance.
You were there for her when she needed your love.

I'm so sorry that you had to make that difficult decision but undoubtedly the right thing to do to end Betsy's suffering and hopefully some peace of mind that you were able to find a vet who could guide you towards making it. It can be such a temptation to try to fix them, especially when they are favourites, but not always in the best interests of the bird.
