) What feed store did you have chicks reserved at?? You have to tell me so I don't go there and come home with more. Oh and you know you better check with me before you get rid of anything I may want them.

I also think there is a need for people who raise chicks through the delicate stage and sell them as "started". Tons of people around here want that. I can't do it very good, because I can't seem to part with that many of mine, I always want to see what they turn out to look like.

I've got 30 more eggs going into lockdown tonight. I am having a heck of a time getting rid of chicks. Let me rephrase. I am having a heck of a time THINKING about getting rid of chicks. I just don't want to! They are so dang beautiful, and I want to see how they feather out and what color eggs they will give me! Insert tantrum here. I'm placing an ad on craigslist today...I've decided to get rid of 90% of my silkies.

I sold off all my silkies last year.. I loved them to pieces but they were too high maintenance for me. I have four mille fleur d'uccle hens I think I will sell now - they are ADORABLE and sweet but they are so small I am concerned about their safety after winter.. Plus all my other chickies are large fowl.

This year I want to hatch Jersey giants, EE and turkens.

You will love the JG's and Naked Necks....they are so sweet! I sold my JG's and quite frankly, I miss them. The roo was the best protector/provider this summer when the girls were free ranging. The NN Sonew gave me is a sweetheart...he gets along with all the other roosters in the bachelor pad.

I love that little incubator, too!

Aren't they just the cutest? Can't wait till they dry off!
The Small Brinseas are alright, can only hold up to 7 Chicken eggs, but..it helps keep the addiction down.
