Chickens comb is bleeding on both sides!!! What to do? Pics included

"I" would fear that doing so would trap bacteria inside. I am not an injury expert, so I will just watch this thread.
Also, you can use the vetbond as a temporary “stitch” to hold something to keep more damage from happening while you get to a vet..

You may want to change your roosts. They can reach over and peck from one bar to the other. She may be especially low in pecking order. Wyandottes, when I had a few, tended to be bullies, so I rehomed them. Do you have other breeds?
Eggcessive, i got them at TSC and they told me they were BSL’s. They are clearly GLW’s. All of them. One of them (the bully) is the only pullet with a single comb. All others have like rose or cushion type. Poor gal’s comb is hanging off. At least 60-70% of comb is unattached. I certainly will have to change the roost design. I have 2 8ft long roosts for 6 gals. Guess they are too close together tho. Right now my big concern is Blondie here in my kitchen. I washed with vetericyn plus and antibiotic cream. Not sure how to move forward. Here are some pics. I cant just keep her in my kitchen all night. Or can I?! She wont leave from in front of this mirror. I do think its helping keep her calm. 🐓❤️

Some take sharp scissors and remove the detached part of the comb if bleeding cannot be controlled. A vet may be of help there. It is good to have a dog crate, preferably a wire one where she could see the others, for a hospital crate or for reintegrating a chicken. It also works for separating a rooster or bully. Some people use a shower or spare bathtub to isolate a chicken in the house. A garage or shed also works, but it would be good to not keep her away from her flock for more than a few days. Pinless peepers is a device that can be put on a bully’s nostrils with a special tool, where they cannot see their target.

With that much exposed tissue, shouldn't she be concerned with fly-strike too if the bird is outside @Eggcessive ?
Perhaps, but she can apply ointment and also use permethrin, SWAT pyrethrins horse fly repellent ointment or gel, or treat the coop. I would try to keep her in for a couple of days though.

She’ll be inside for a bit. Greatful i can be here all the time. I just sat on the kitchen floor with her since 10am. Its 5pm now and i’m Feeling comfortable moving her to the dog crate in the living room where I may be out of her sight here and there. I’ll post a pic of her right now. Moving forward, a mirror is a necessity for any isolated chicken. It calmed her right down. I’ll do another wash with the vetericyn in a couple hours when hubby returns to help. How nuts will he think I am if I sleep in the living room? On the floor. Next to her? Well at least the couch….. 🐓❤️
