Chickies, Chickies, Chickies!! Meet the new additions! (Pic heavy!)

It's a rainy day, so I decided against taking the babies outside. We're gonna work on a more secure enclosure to put them outside in so that I don't have to worry so much about little kitties. :/

Here are the ones that actually posed.

Hika Ma, the big man of the brooder:

1000

Huka, who looked elegant right up until her mutton-chop-esque facial feathers came in.

1000

Marama:

1000

Rangi, making herself at home on my bed, of course.

1000

Whiri, looking prettier and prettier every day. :love

1000

And some little ball of fluff that's been wandering around the brooder lately. Oh wait, that's Po!

Hika Ma's manly comb:

Ihi, with some concern about the thing I've pointed at her:

1000

Po baby! Look at those feet! :love

1000

Another Roha derpface. :love This is one derpy little bird, I've noticed!

1000

Marama and Ihi, partners in crime!

1000

Having a race from the back of the brooder to their playtime space. Marama's in the lead, with Ihi close behind!

That's all for pictures. I was spending more time adoring them than taking pictures today. :love

wow... posh English dude looks just like Huka. Well done for getting the babes out of the way of those cats... I am sad to say that cats, along with cleg flies and mink, are the only animals I truly despise. Mainly from my experience of finding a hole in the bottom of the aviary, with 8 zebrafinches, four fan-tail doves, and a rescued coot lying dead on the floor...

Oh my goodness, they could be twins!

Yeah, these cats have definitely not been getting enough to eat and I absolutely do not trust them out there with the chicks. Oh, I should mention that there are 4 kittens and the mother cat showed up--and the fine folks in my family have decided to start feeding them! Yippee, they're going to stick around. So basically, I have to be out there the entire time the chicks are outside if I want them to remain safe because I don't have anywhere more secure to put them while they're out. :/

Oh, and I have tons and tons of pictures of the chickies, but I've been lazy about getting them off my camera, so...

This was actually right before the last picture in my last post. Rangi, trying to pull a burr off of a plant. :love

Rangi, master of camouflage?

Roha on a grape vine. Not sure what happened with the lighting in this picture, but I liked her expression.
