I emailed my dad.... It went well. I think. Maybe. I got a response, and he said he was sorry he had put me on a platform I didn't feel I could live up to, etc. I think things are going to get better.

I'm not a kid by any stretch, but my parents divorced when I was, and it was awful. feeling like a visitor in both homes. Even now, 20 years later, my dad still badmouths my mom, and has completely mis-remembered their marriage and the reasons it ended (mostly his fault). He thinks my mom conned him out of their house.... when in reality, she couldn't afford to keep it when he left her because he was 'in love' with someone else, 20 years his junior..... anyway, divorce really sucks, and you need to try to do what you can to make the best choices for YOU. regardless of everyone else, since apparently, nobody is looking out for you right now. good luck.

Oh, trust me, it's not that at all! They both look out for me, the problem is that they both seem to view the other as the bad guy I need protected from.​
