We use to have a owl in our neighbors tree that hoots every time we went outside. He moved on now. But another one lives a few blocks awayAn owl has moved in next door. He hoots punctually at 8:30 pm every night for about a minute. He’s been here for almost two weeks now.
That's what we call the hawk that lives here, Screechy, she's quite loud, especially if another raptor comes into her territory. We had a young owl who would sit in front of our windows at night and scream, we called it Screechy
The hawks here are terrible. I don’t see them very often but they hide in the worst places and get a lot closer to my unsuspecting chickens then I’d like. Thankfully I’ve always caught them in time but probably one of these days my luck is going to run outI’ve had hawks attack but not owls. But I’m pretty sure hawks hunt during the day anyway.
