Cochin Bantams and Frizzle Cochin Bantams!!

I clip with toenail clippers and use a finger nail file, just like before I show one. Judges usually are confused by my Frizzles when I show them but I enjoy taking them. They are gorgeous!

I ordered some frizzles bc i think they are so cute! Is there anything I need to know that is different with them than a smooth?

Do not breed 2 frizzles together. Only use a smooth as a breeder to a frizzle. They can not handle drafts as well as a smooth bird nor quite as cold of weather. They are wonderful and I am sure you will enjoy them for a long time.

Here is my calico frizzle pullet

I don't despur, b/c I free range; I want my roos to be able to fight whatever might attack their hens.
(Any rooster who used his spurs on me would go to camp crock pot!!!)

Here are my two Cochins.

Could y'all help me with sexing?

I'm no expert (at all!!!!), but since no one else has answered, I"ll throw out a guess and hopefully someone smarter than me will see and correct me. =)
I think the smooth looks like a cockerel and I think the frizzle looks like a pullet.
(but you might not know until they start crowing or laying; sorry)

PS: Knowing the age(s) would probably help someone who could make an educated guess. I based my un-educated guess on comb size and assumed that they're the same age.
