I've been really wanting to get some buff or blue cochins.

I sell Blue Buff Cochin hatching eggs, large fowl. :)

I have a frizzle question. We are thinking about getting a black frizzle cochin bantam this coming spring but I have heard they have trouble in the cold? Is there anything that you should do special for them or are they ok? Thank you!

I'm in Wisconsin, gets pretty cold here and my frizzles do fine, I don't notice a difference between them or the regular feathered one as far as cold hardiness. If there's foul weather, all my bantam stay inside, they also won't go outside unless there's hay down on the snow.

It should, how cold do you get, we have gotten down to the -20's with -40 wind chills, they obviously avoid the wind chills but the coop gets cold.

Never add heaters. That will cause your birds to get respiratory problems. Draft free is best. That is how I built my coop and if you have a couple chickens, they will snuggle together if they are cold.
