Cochin Thread!!!

i'm glad your girl is doing better
Not sure if it was the excitement or just the fact she didn't want to poop where she's been sleeping but right after i let her out into the living room i heard the chicken fart for lack of a better word and i look down and there was a pool of water with a little chicken poop. Then 10 minutes later she pooped again. Then 45 minutes later she pooped again. So the whole time i've been worried she hasn't been eating enough because i wasn't seeing it come back out, really she may have just been not wanting to go inside her cage.

smart bird. i wish mine were like that.

I wish the rest would stop pooping in the nesting boxes and on top of the nesting boxes.
don't feel bad i had to move my scratch can outside because they wouldn't stop pooping on that. it isn't any fun taking the lid off when there is poop all over it.

I have a couple of my ornamentals that and wont roost, they keep sleeping in the box.

Try raising your roosts a bit higher than the boxes. They go for the highest spot to roost. Had a ledge across the peak of my one coop, umm yeah they roosted there and walking under it was dangerous.

My roosts are just moderately higher than the boxes so to them it's all fair game.
