Congrats on all your new lovlies!!! It's a good thing I don't live closer to Columbus! Were there any MF's being shown, or just in the sale area?

My neighbor (he's like family) owns a sign company - that is TOTALLY the next project I'm having him do for me! Except mine's going to say, "Cochins are like potato chips...you can't have just one...or ten...yes, they should definitely come in multiples of 10."

TennesseeTruly - I haven't forgotten about you - our weather has gone from beautful upper 60's here to complete slushy crap (gotta love Wisconsin), and the number of eggs I'm getting every morning has significantly decreased.

I didn't think that you had forgotten me.

In the meantime, my little Cochins are laying machines. At least the ones that are old enough to lay that is. LOL It seems as though they like the cooler weather.

Awwww she's adorable! I love the Partridges. I have a pair of them and I want to get some more of them. They're so tiny compared to my others though. They're still young, only 4 months old so there's hope for them yet!

Laurie

Thanks, she is my favorite out of all my chicks right now
big_smile.png
What quality would you say she is? Not that it really matters just wondered. She might still be to young to tell?

Thanks

I think she's too young to say right now. But keep posting pics.

Hey everyone,
I am a full-time church music director and my choir loves giving me a hard time about my chickens -- somehow they think it's odd that the Director of Music Ministries at First United Methodist Church keeps chickens in the backyard (what is odd about that?) There's nothing that says the same person can't love Bach and Bantams or Chopin and Cochins!
Anyway... this morning some of my choir were telling me about some magazine article they read about the rise in popularity of backyard chicken keeping. They were telling me that there was even a webiste dedicated to backyard chicken keeping and wondered if i had ever heard of it????
So long for now -- I'm off the teach my chickens to sing in 4-part harmony.

Im not sure how old they are because I bought them from a breeder that didnt know for sure how old they were. I dont think they are laying yet, but Im hoping they will soon.

Thanks for all the comments!
