I think 2 girls also, my males combs start showing color by 1 month.

I have a lavender/self blue I'm thinking of letting go..about 4 weeks old. Also one that looks lavender color with splashes of darker feathers..I guess a splash, but a dark one. About 3 weeks. I'm in VA.

these guys just hatched over the weekend- any idea on coloring? one is more gray that black- dad is lemon blue cochin

this is the flock they came from- i don't think any are the duccle

Depends on if you are trying to improve the type or the lacing.

exactly, IF you can find one but it would produce double laced also so I'm not sure how that would do when breeding back to get the single lacing on the pullets

The one on the left does have some color in it, but compared to one of my other cochins it's comb isn't really big. Not sure if I can really go by that or not...
