good day folks,
tought i'd share a couple pictures and then a question or two,

the roo, he deffinatley is mottled. the second picture is the origiinal picture from original owner.

is the roo blue millie ? I have never seen a blue millie roo, i have seen a couple blue millie hens. He has the mahogony that shows ( almost looks chocolate) in his feathers also at the tips are white around saddle and neck.
the hen , she too is mottled , but like roo there is a hint of the red.mohagony around neck that comes through. Just trying to figure out for breeding purposes, what i should mate them back to, I do have a millie hens that i'll breed him too, a couple are split for blue. I also have a couple black mottled hens as well.

your thoughts ?

I personally don't care for broody raised chicks, they NEVER settle down, and if Gail's set up is anything like mine, even in a "pure" pen with only one variety in it, the egg could still have come from ANY hen that is in that run/pen/coop or whatever. I don't think broodies care what egg they are sitting on as long as they get to set. I've also had hens that I KNOW came in the coop and set with the broody and left her egg right there where the broody could work it in under herself. Kind of like leaving an orphan at the door step.

There are currently 2 hens sharing the same nest - my Mille Fleur, and one of the F1-BLRs. I think they are sharing duties. When I first saw the chick this morning, the BLR was in the back of the box, the MF in the front, and the chick went back under the Mille Fleur.
When I came home tonight, the chick was out of the nest box, and out with the older birds, who seemed to be ignoring it. The MF was still in the nest, but the BLR was out with the chick. The BLR went back in the nest box, and the chick went back in the nest box and disappeared under the BLR.

So, little "BooBoo" (for now!) is either:
1) Golden Laced x Golden Laced,
2) Golden Laced x F1 BLR (Golden Laced x Splash), or
3) Golden Laced x Mille Fleur
Anybody want to take a guess:

This morning's update of BooBoo, now 10 days old. Very interesting pattern on "her" wings:

I saw those butterscotch and fell in love with them!

The Butterscotch are gorgeous! I love anything close to that cream color anyhow! How lovely!

And those Runner ducks are just amazing! I don't think I have ever seen any stand quite that erect. Would they be Holderreads? I do not know of anyone else that breed and shows them though I am sure there are plenty.

The show sounds like it was a blast. It is great to go to the breed threads and read about how everyone did and what everyone saw.

Thanks for posting!
