Here's my one and only cochin, Mrs. Waffles. Hatched her this spring. She's really sweet, very gentle and friendly.

I have absolutely fallen in love with the Buff Laced Brahma and am wondering if breeding a Cochin with the Maran, I think, would do the trick? There is so much to learn and we are very excited. But dang, has anyone ever fiended for a certain chicken 'cause I surely am for the Buff Laced Brahma.

They arent that rare and hard to find. I know several breeders here on BYC breed them, and I personally know of several breeders across the US who breed and show them. Its just not easy to find Mottled birds that are perfectly marked and typed. They are out there, and they arent as hard to find as one might think.

Me too! I just spoke with a man that lives up north from us, and he is going to breeding them again. He said to give him a call next Aug..and he will have some pullets for me. He shows his birds. I'm not showing, just enjoying the cute little cochin bantams!
