looks like a mixture of brown and black in the flight feathers? my guesses with those colors would be gold laced, mille fleur or partridge maybe? just guessing tho since i've never had a partridge or gold laced chick, and only one mille that started off dark.

Yes he is the one of 2 males I use breeding.. He came from Tom along with a good pullet. I like her as much as him and she is the only Black I have that is laying at this time. I started all over with Tom's line of Blacks to try to raise even better Blacks than I was raising before.

Nancy got a really nice pair of Blacks from Arkansas while at the CI Western National show.

Hope your breeding/hatching is progressing well this spring!
