Cochin Thread!!!

I've posted to the other thread but can't remembr if I did this one or not.
Here is my pair....Napolean & Josephine. 4 months old. Eggs purchased from Tate in Fl and I adore them. Hope I can hatch out many other cochins of various colors in my bator.:<)

Love my cochins and love seeing everyone's pics.

That Buttercup has some awesome crazy foot feathers! Literal big bedroom slippers! She is very very pretty though!

magsrags : beautiful pair there! I love them if I had the $ to fork over on them eggs from some of those on the mille cochin thread - I would but whew i just can't fork a big $$ amount on eggs. You got a beautiful pair though.

This is Tissi, short for Rotisseri

She is the SWEETEST hen EVER! She is a bantam. The other picture is of her little chick, Coral Rose.

Here is Tissi and her mate Louie from the back

But, sadly, Tissi didn't get to raise her chick because she was killed by a snake that came to eat her eggs

We found to chicks after the snake got in. One was hers and the other was an other hens. But Tissi had layed on both the whole time. They were her only survivors. Bu they are beautiful!

This is my Mottled Cochin. Her name is Magnolia. She was killed by a hawk over a year ago but I still love her! She was my favorite and was so beautiful! Here she is:

I am so sorry that you lost your beautiful Tessi in such a terrible way! Thank God you still have her precious baby. I hope she grows up to look just like her mama.

I lost a favorite hen (Candy) to a dog attack when she was setting on her first batch of eggs. Three days before the eggs were due to hatch my beloved family dog killed Candy and ate all the eggs. I was devastated. Not only did I lose my favorite chicken and her unborn babies ~ with no hope of every carying on her line ~ but I surrendered my dog to the humane society as well.
