Just a few, I don't want to bog down my post with pictures since I probably uploaded them too big. The young black mottled pullet is only four months old, which is why she doesn't have a whole bunch of mottling yet.

Hi Laurie,
Don't you just love the Columbians! They're what got me hooked on Cochins 3 years ago. Ozzie & Harriet are both 09 hatches, but I think Ozzie is a couple of months older than Harriet. Mr. Splett's breeding stock came from Jamie Matts. They have great type, and both have nice clear, white saddles, with no black in them - so I'm anxious to see how the babies will look come spring. My 2 older hens, Lucy and Ethel, are 06 hatches. Where did you get your babies from?

Blue mottie--The light gray blue mott hen is beautiful! I really like the lighter blue in the mottles--she is neat. One of your eggs from the last batch is due to hatch this week.
We recently brought Emma

then Corn & Beans from Iowa

The blue mottleds are so much further along in body type than the mille fleur cochins. Am thinking of putting my black mottled roo with both color types. He will only improve body for the MFC and help maintain when it comes to the blues.
