Very lovely indeed.
Did you find a new 'boyfriend' for them? Wasn't it the Buff rooster who died?
Haven't seen you here in a while. Do you have any bantam cochins coming up for sale soon?
Didn't you get some Milles from Nancy Krohn? Did you hear she's selling her farm and liquidating her entire sheep and chicken flocks? So sad.....
Yes, I haven't been on here much, between work, kid's sports and getting everything around here finished up, seems like I don't have much computer time anymore. I have a ton of emails to catch up on (including yours! sorry
) .
Yes, I did find a new "boyfriend" for the Buff Columbian girls, I ended up getting the roo that died's full brother. He has picked up right where his brother left off. He's not as gorgeous as his brother but he's still pretty nice. Now; here's the luck of it all, when you want a roo out of a great roo that you lost, what do you get??? All girls!! I have about 10 BC girls and no boys! They are beautiful little girls though!
As far as anything for sale; just mottled chicks right now but I have some cuties. I'll try to post pics sometime this weekend. I have some blues and splash in the incubator right now~
I gave Grace; the buff hen to my friend for a Buff Barred project but I did have 2 little chicks hatch last week from her, they are so cute!
I hadn't heard about Nancy, that's terrible. I can't imagine having to give everything up like that. These times are so hard right now, after a bad day, it's always my little flock that put's a smile on my face again. I can't even imagine not having them here anymore~
oooooooh....mottleds (that I'm liking better all the time), a bunch of BC girls, black and splash in the incubator and 2 babies from Grace........I just may have to make a road trip to Indiana later this summer!
Yeah, I first became familiar with Nancy through her sheep. I am new to chickens, but I've been a handspinner for many years and have lots of 'sheepy' friends. I was listening to my girls trilling this morning and thinking how much I LOVE having chickens. Even in town with only a couple, they have such personalities. I think of them as 'pets with bonuses.'
