My 5 mo. old Mille Cochin, Henryetta, started laying in all this heat. She has layed an egg almost every day for 2 1/2 weeks! No one told her it is too hot to lay!
I told my husband that he is a Super Chicken Farmer since his Buff Cochin pair have a 100% hatch rate - three eggs in the incubator and three chicks out!

. They are such sweeties and are near and dear to my heart. I hatched out 10 MFC project cochins, 3 died before right after hatch, 1 passed very early on, 1 was killed by a hawk in a freak accident, 1 had a severe crossbeak and had to be culled, and I just rehomed the 2 boys this afternoon...so these girls will be VERY spoiled and very loved
