Hey! I'm new to breeding cochins and I wanted to get some advice on a pullet of mine. Is it okay for a blue hen to have a little bit of gold lacing on the front of the neck? She is for breeding. I will be breeding her to a black rooster if that makes any difference.

I am looking to purchase some bantam Patridge cochin eggs or chicks. We purchased a pair but she has yet to lay and I have a couple broody hens that I would love to get some started. We are looking for great quality, as my son will be showing them. Thanks.

You will have to start looking in the fall and buy started birds. This is when the breeders have made their cuts and decided what they will be keeping and what to let go of.
