Hey! I'm new to breeding cochins and I wanted to get some advice on a pullet of mine. Is it okay for a blue hen to have a little bit of gold lacing on the front of the neck? She is for breeding. I will be breeding her to a black rooster if that makes any difference.
:I would like to find some one who has some bantam frizzle cochin hatching eggs. like to find someone I can bye from as needed.
Do you have any pictures of eggs and parent stock.

Gold or tawny lacing or anything else on Blue is an absolute no-no, you could not show her. IF she has exceptional type and everything else is perfect and this is her only fault you could give her a try with a Black roo, but always keep in mind what is behind your stock. This could be something that could come back and bite you in the........ahem.........booty. And, if your first generation shows ANY off color STOP breeding her, it will only get worse.
I am looking to purchase some bantam Patridge cochin eggs or chicks. We purchased a pair but she has yet to lay and I have a couple broody hens that I would love to get some started. We are looking for great quality, as my son will be showing them. Thanks.

We've bumped up against this question not too long ago on this thread I believe, anyway.......It is doubtful that you will get good quality eggs or chicks from Partridge and several other varieties of hard to find Cochins because breeders that have the really good birds won't let go of either eggs or chicks. You will have to start looking in the fall and buy started birds. This is when the breeders have made their cuts and decided what they will be keeping and what to let go of.
