Cochin Thread!!!

I have black and some blue cochins that I could take to a show, so I so not think I would be happy with some that didnt look right. I am pretty picky. Does anyone know anyone that sells white show quality cochin bantams?//////// Thats my sticky key

Edit to add: when I say show quality here it is in the loosest sense. Just good quality birds /// breeder of bantam cochins. And I havent sold anyu hatching eggs yet and I have had cochins for 5 years. I am still learning.

Casey( Mr. Ree) has some very nice young bantams for sale in the auction section. One is frizzle and the other smooth. Thats all I remember. I would bid but I don't have room for another color right now.

Mr. Ree :

I got some pics today and wanted to share a few with you guys. If you click the website link under my name you can see many more. These are just a few that stood out to me. (Took this pics at feeding time so overlook the full crop and wet breasts most of them have, lol. And sorry for so many pics, I get carried away so easily...)

I also got updated pics of the little Pyle colored frizzle cockerel I have, I managed to get some close ups of his color along his back and shoulders and in his cushion. As I mentioned before, he has a solid blac feather on his back, at the base of his cushion that is perfectly laced in the light orange cream color he is showing. His father was a DEEP Red frizzle cockerel and his mother was a White smooth pullet, and neother bird had any black on them anywhere, I have looked several times, even after their moult. This Cockerel has solid red and buff feathers in his cushion too, but the most of it looks to be white. Its strange, but I cant wait to see this bird mature more and see what I get. He is the start to my Red breedings. Crossed in White for type thinking that the White would be recessive and the bird would turn out mostly Red or a dingy red, not the case.(Again, sorry for so many pics.)

Well my Christmas chicks hatched. It was just a few special eggs, but only two hatched. This is the first chick we have hatched from my daughter's bantam cochins. I am very pleased with the foot feathering, she has fluff on EVERY toe! But the color is lighter than I expected, she/he is so much lighter than I expected, it is such a light golden chipmunk pattern. Does anyone else have partridge bantams, and does the light chick color have any bearing on the adult color?

The color is more true in the second picture.

The other chick is an Ameraucana cross, but we are very pleased with it, too.
