Cochin Thread!!!

Thanx Craig!

I hope everyone knows that the Cochins International website, as well as the Forum, is for everyone, whether you are a member or not. Although of course we encourage all Cochin Lovers to join and support the promotion of our breed and our programs!

I didn't know whether or laugh or cry this weekend when I read my Poultry Press and saw that Matt referred to me as a Jack-of-all-Trades!! But I will take it as a compliment and say Thank-you! But what is important for everyone to know is that Cochins International is everyone's Club, whether you own Bantams or LF, whether you show or not, and whether you are a Junior or a Junior-at-Heart.

We are always open to suggestions for the Club, our Meets, and our Website. There are links on the website to all your Officers and District Directors - all who love to talk Cochin! And if you find a Cochin Club table at a show near you, be sure and stop by and say Hi!

When I read the Poultry Press I sure took what Matt wrote as a compliment. to you. You certainly do have the knowledge and skills that you used to get the Cochin International website modernized as well as the Breeders directory project that you did.

I hope you know how much you are appreciated!!

Wow..... 9142 posts is a lot to read through. But I did it! It took me almost 2 weeks off and on to read through it all but boy have I got a new understanding of the cochin breed.

I'm so excited that we have such knowledgable people within the cochin fancy. I've had my cochins for almost a year and they are by far my favorite breed! So loving and personable as well as too cute to boot. My bantam cochins are only pet quality but I'm hoping to be able to improve my birds by buying from good breeders. It'll be a long journey but one I'm willing to take.

We're working on building more pens so we can seperate everyone by color and then it'll just be a matter of finding good birds to work with. I love seeing all the pictures of everyone's cochins, wether they're show worthy or not, and hearing the critique. I'm learning a lot about what a good cochin should look like, slowly but surely. Now I just need to fine tune it all.

Thank you everybody for sharing all your knowledge and pictures!

Can any of u help me with my cochins color? Mothers buff. Father is white. I have another one that hatched and its differnt than this one. Will post pics of it when dry. I psted in this section but no one told me what color it could be. What do u cochin experts think.

Isn't it impressive how much knowledge these guys have and their willingness to share is also impressive! I would love to see pictures of your pretty babies. Mine are also just pet quality but are the sweetest things. :)
