Cochins passing pure blood - Cocci Kills

Pics
I haven't lost 7 birds in under 3 months ever before.
:th
It is sad when that happens.

Get some of the anti biotic that Cathy posted. Also, look into changing to nipple water systems--For a year or so, watch them like hawks starting at about 3 weeks old and if you see any hunching, get them on corid first then the stronger medicine. For Cord, I always use severe treatment level

I went through a phase of this but have not had a problem in several years now

Will do

What a bummer. Sorry, Cy.
I feel as though it is a tough year all around with critters and losses. I know this year has already been crap for me (lost my favorite Cochin pullet to a hawk, my house bunny died, pet piggie with a pulled hamstring, lost another Speckled Sussex pullet to failure to thrive, laying duck to a rotten drake, cat attacked by coyote and just last night, a huge rat tunneled under the hardware cloth of my pheasant pen and killed one of my pheasants)! This year can go ahead and suck it already.
