Cockerels and Pullets

I have 2 Delaware pullets and 1 Delaware cockerel. They are three weeks old and the cockerel has had scabs on his body in the past week. When i checked on the chicks today i saw that the cockerel had an open wound on his foot that was bleeding. I put a band-aid on it so the other chickens would not get the flavor of the blood and start to attack him. I am really upset and don't know what to do! please help!!!!

p.s. they are kept in a big cage with more than 1 and a half square feet per chick. Room doesn't seem to be an issue.

Sounds like your chicken got a lil scratch and the others noticed it. Keep it coverd until it heals because the other chickens wont stop pecking at it.

make sure to wash it out reall good, and put some antibiotic. keep it clean
